Little Sluggers T-Ball is a hit!

Little Slugger T-BallSchaumburg Park District’s Little Sluggers T-Ball introduces youngsters to the rules and fundamentals of T-ball and baseball.  Participants practice and improve throwing, catching, hitting, base-running and teamwork skills through drills and games.

Classes are held at the Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road, and Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

Programs are offered seasonally.  Registration is available at parkfun.com and at Schaumburg Park District registration facilities.

Fit and Fun Halloween Activities

Halloween doesn’t just have to be about sweet treats. It can be about fun activities that get kids moving too! Here are two events that encourage exercise and celebrating Halloween too!

Pumpkin swim at Prairie Stone

Pumpkin Swim - Saturday, October 26  1:00 and 2:00pm
This pumpkin swim will be held in the activity pool at Prairie Stone™ Sports & Wellness Center where each participant will swim in our pumpkin patch to find a pumpkin of their own. Participants can then decorate their pumpkin to take home. Adult supervision is required. Don’t miss this unique Halloween event! Registration is required ($5 res /$6 non-res) Register here.

 

 

Pumpkin Skate

Great Pumpkin Skate  Sunday, October 27  3:00-4:30pm
Come out in your costume for a fun afternoon on the ice. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served. Free admission and free skate rental if you come in costume! No registration needed.

Healthy Trick or Treating!

Everyone is an all-star at Schaumburg Park District’s Sport Center!

Soccer Schaumburg park DistrictSports can be boring if taught the wrong way, but when they are taught the All Star way participants stay active and engaged both mentally and physically.  Children ages 2 to 8 can learn a variety of sports using the All Star approach, including T-Ball, basketball, floor hockey, flag football and soccer at the Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road.
