The Hoffman Estates Park District has many opportunities for kids to stay active throughout winter break from school.  Sign up for a fun Field Trip during Winter Break.  Learn to Ice Skate at our twin indoor ice rinks! Check out Wolf Pack Hockey Camp and ICE Academy Figure Skating Camp. Bring the whole family out to skate during a Public Skate. And when the snow flies, that means it’s time for outdoor FUN! Sledding, ice skating and skiing are available at our parks during the winter, weather permitting. Find out more.

Ice Skating at Volkening LakeLace up your skates and hit the ice!

Schaumburg Park District offers outdoor ice skating areas at Volkening Lake, Gray Farm Park, Timbercrest Park and Twin Ponds. Supervised skating is only available at Volkening Lake between Dec. 3 and Feb. 17. Skate conditions are available at parkfun.com.

Dance SchaumburgSchaumburg Park District’s Schaumburg School of Dance provides skill building techniques through various dance forms for children. Equal attention is given to provide a pleasant atmosphere essential to learning. Good poise and self-confidence is gained while experiencing the joy of movement which carries through to all parts of the dancer’s life. Classes include ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, modern, lyrical and hip hop. There are three dance studios at the Community Recreation Center and one at the Meineke Recreation Center. All dance studios feature sprung wood floors, mirrors and ballet barres.
