Schaumburg CAN awards $8,500 in grants

Schaumburg CAN recently awarded 19 grants to area agencies, for a total of $8,500. Congratulations to the grant winners who are working toward the Schaumburg CAN goal of families making healthy choices.

Fahrrad Tour von Schaumburg May 20th

Translated from German to English, Fahrrad Tour von Schaumburg means Bicycle Route Tour of Schaumburg.  On Sunday, May 20, 2012 come celebrate Schaumburg’s heritage and extensive bike route network with a seven mile ride on off-street bike paths and on-street bike lanes before winding up at Schaumburg’s beautiful Atcher Municipal Center grounds where lunch is served and entertainment provided.  This event is co-sponsored with the Schaumburg Park District.  Click this link for time and location.

Bike to Work Day Ride with the Mayor May 18th
